Nichola qualified with a Graduate Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy from Leeds in 2004. She is enthusiastic in oral health optimisation education and how periodontal health can affect systemic health. Such as Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer's.
She works closely with our dentists in providing periodontal treatment and implant hygiene education reviews, helping patients improve and adapt their oral hygiene to achieve a healthy mouth. Recently, she has undertaken a course in early detection of skin lesions, the Pro-MASCED course for healthcare practitioners. She was aware she sees her patients regularly and was in a good position to spot potential changes in her patients facial and neck skin.
Nichola has a keen interest in cosmetic treatments such as tooth whitening and has undertaken a Linda Greenwall tooth whitening course for Dental Hygienists and Dental Therapists as well as a Boutique Whitening course to extend her knowledge in tooth whitening treatment. She has also attended an lnvisalign Hygienist Training Program presented by Align Technology.
Nichola is a member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy and the British Society of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry.
Out of work she is kept busy looking after her two children with numerous sporting activities! She likes to keep fit by walking, swimming and going to the gym.
